These Seven Creative Vacation Bible Camp Programs were written and tested by an experienced and certified religious educator, Dr. Virginia Lynch Graf, D.Min. Each Director’s Kit includes: a teacher manual with lessons and related activities and games for all levels, daily opening and closing prayer, short skits with VBS director and puppet, background and helpful hints for teachers, music, (book and CD or tape), a set of student books of stories, crafts and activities, some craft supplies, and props particular to the program.

Theme: God calls each of us. Biblical stories from Creation, Noah, Samuel, Deborah and David show campers ways to respond to God’s call.

Break a Leg! A Dramatic Retelling of Jonah, Ruth and Daniel "Break a Leg!" the slogan of performers, hints that the authors of Jonah, Ruth and Daniel wrote with dramatic flare. Performing the stories demonstrates the rich imagery in those stories of faith. Religious culture, as with any culture, is preserved by poets, storytellers, artists, dancers and musicians. The bible preserves the Judeo Christian culture even as it informs, persuades, entertains and inspires. Break a Leg engages children with a wonderful experience of three books of the bible.

Dear Theophilus Meet Theophilus, a camel hand puppet who digs into the past and with the help of children, uncovers the story of the early church. Dear Theophilus is the text which gives faces to Peter, Paul, Mary of Magdala and the other men and women who courageously followed Jesus and started a church. An Archaeology dig, the central motif, helps children discover thier early heritage. The program introduces men and women of the early church, house churches, Paul's missionary activities, gospels, letters and Acts of the Apostles. As in the other programs there is puppetry, music, arts and crafts.
Theme: As archaeologists, children uncovers the beginnings of Christianity.

Forever Friends, A Story of Jesus introduces Jesus as he lived during his time on earth and as friend and savior for all times. Themes include: Jesus' family and friends, his parables, and what it means to be a follower of Jesus. The text, Forever Friends, A Story of Jesus is filled with beautiful illustrations and stories taken from Scripture. Children are engaged in the dynamic relation between Jesus in history and Jesus in faith. A travel journal enables the children to be part of Jesus' historic world as well as their own modern day world. Wooly, the hand puppet lamb, adds fun to each day by acting as tour guide through the Holy Land. The program has its own music, crafts, games, and creative activities.
Theme: Children walk through the Holy Land with Jesus, and hear his stories.

The ABCs of Catholic Celebrations
(Catholic)
Come Celebrate highlights the scriptures. Students become aware of creation as God's gift. Abraham, and Moses are introduced, and covenant is thoroughly explained. Jesus is introduced as God's divine son, and a brief sacramental overview reveals and celebrates Jesus' presence among us. Children use a text, Come Celebrate the ABCs of Catholic Celebrations. The program helps children understand the Catholic faith is a biblical and sacramental experience. Children use a special scrapbook, related music and crafts, games and a great variety of creative activities. Icthus, the hand puppet sets the stage for each day's activities through lively dialogue and riddles.
Theme: Learn how Catholics celebrate through letters of the alphabet.
Highlights:
